NOT ENOUGH? St. Kate, a bay was an on debut winner at the Sunshine Coast in June 1999 and then won again at the same venue a little over three weeks later making it two victories in a row. St. Kate, chalked up another win during her classic season at Ipswich before retiring for stud duties during the spring of 2000 with a record of three wins and one placing from 10-race starts.
When St. Kate was offered for sale the average price for a yearling by Danehill was $525,000.00 and when offered as a yearling sold to Jack Denham for $600,000.
Before purchasing this colt Elite Thoroughbreds noted that St. Kate was the dam of six winners from seven foals and were impressed with the record that More Than Ready is creating when covering mares by Danehill with the stakes winners Dreamaway, Perfectly Ready, Benicio, Elite Falls, Ready To Rip, Mahisara, Readyor and Al Aneed all bred on this cross.
During the past 12-seasons, More Than Ready has covered 10 books of more than 100 mares, and has 106 stakes winners and 94 stakes placegetters with those progeny earning more than $103.2million, as of February 7th, worldwide.
