Horse Detail

Name: Our Esposito

Gender: Filly

Sire: Toorak Toff

Dam: She Goes To Rio

Trainer: Chris Munce

Foal Date: 24/10/2014

Adrenaline Thoroughbred Syndications have backed Rosemont Stud’s emerging sire, Toorak Toff selecting this filly out of the Magic Millions National yearling sale at the Gold Coast in June.

As you can see the filly has a strong physical resemblance to her Group 1 winning sire Toorak Toff. In addition, the filly is a chestnut like Toorak Toff as well as her broodmare sire Captain Rio and the sire of that horses dam Miswaki. And for good measure Nelly’s Gold, the filly’s grandam, is by Made of Gold and is a chestnut just like Pivotal, a high-class sprinter that stands at Cheveley Park Stud in England, is as well.

Anthony Mithen of Rosemount Stud said; “This filly has been the best moving filly on the farm for six months. The feed-up team tell me it’s not just her walk either – she gallops around the paddock the fastest as well!

Toorak Toff’s first crop of foals raced last season (2015-16) and the son of Show A Heart had four individual two-year-old winners Pop (ex Very Cherry); Rock’n’Rollrock (ex Rosemont Flyer); Toorak Affair (ex Smooth Return) and Toorak Rose (ex Plans) – that’s a great start from a crop of 77 live foals.

  • By emerging sire Toorak Toff whose new season 3YO’s are in training with some of the biggest names of Australian racing
  • The filly hails from a family that has produced the Group 1 winner Blevvo
  • Out of lightly raced four-times winning mare She Goes To Rio, winner of the Listed Canberra Guineas.
  • Eligible for the rich Magic Millions race series.

NOT ENOUGH? Adrenaline Thoroughbreds report the filly has a strong physical appearance and they like her smooth, effortless stride and correct conformation.

The syndicate will be managed by AdrenalineThoroughbreds

Trainer Detail

Who better to train your horse than a man who knows how a champion racehorse must move, who can talk to jockeys in their own language, and who has the known hunger to win at the highest level??

Chris Munce is one of only seven jockeys ever to win Australia’s thoroughbred racing grand slam: the Melbourne Cup, the Caulfield Cup, the Cox Plate, and the Golden Slipper.

He is one of the nation’s premier horsemen. Trusted by Australia’s top trainers, Chris rode some of the best gallopers of our generation, including Desert War, Dance Hero, Dane Ripper and Savabeel.

When Chris finished his riding career with a staggering 42 Group victories, becoming a trainer was a natural progression.

Not every jockey can transition to the other side of the rails, but Munce’s distinguished background in racing and working with horses has seen him make the change successfully. He has always applied a considered analytical approach to riding and his father-in-law is trainer Barry Mitchell.

Chris has seen first-hand the practices of Australia’s most experienced trainers and is now applying all he has learned in his own stable. And it’s paying off.

In his first full season, 2015-16, Chris finished 12th on the metropolitan trainers premiership in Brisbane. Chris has shown he can work with horses with diverse strengths – sprinters, stayers, older horses, and two-year-olds – and he dedicates effort and attention towards getting the best out of all horses with his positive approach.

Chris continues to ride track work, giving him unparalleled insights into the movement and temperament of the horses in his care.

Munce Racing’s boutique stable is a great fit for Adrenaline Thoroughbreds, as they have have known Munce for a number of years and they are proud to be partnering with one of Brisbane’s best to get the most out of their racehorses.
